Jive Talkin ‘The Bee Gees Story’

Jive Talkin' unites the UK's hottest talent for a truly inspiring evening of everything Bee Gees. This is the show that Bee Gees fans everywhere have been waiting for.

Featuring the stunningly convincing vocals of Brothers Darren and Gary Simmons as Barry and Robin Gibb, as well as Jarrod Loughlin as Maurice Gibb, these three leading men collectively have career highs including starring in London's West End, numerous world wide TV appearances and performing live with the Bee Gees themselves.

The Jive Talkin band features some of the greatest performers in the country today and recreates to perfection the extensive Gibb Brother's repetoire. Never before has there been a more complete Bee Gees experience, making audiences both young and old feel as if they are actually at a Bee Gees concert!

Accompanied by a live String Section to compliment both the heavily orchestrated 60's hits (such as Massachusetts & Words) and the many string heavy disco classics (such as Stayin Alive and Night Fever), the Bee Gees catalogue of hits is bought to life in its most pure form.

As the years roll on, the show introduces special guest performers, all carefully selected for their unique vocal abilities, to perform the many hits the Bee Gees wrote for other artistes such as Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion and Diana Ross to name a few.

The Producers

Playing the freshest live blues in Britain today

One of the most exciting and stylish new wave bands on the circuit, Bournemouth based The Producers are among the leaders of the the current Blues phenomenon topped by Joe Bonamassa and John Mayer. The Producers are something really something special, playing the freshest live blues in Britain today. Concerned with feel and attitude rather than slavishly copying ‘hand me down’ American music, The Producers move effortlessly between their own well crafted material and seriously reinvigorated classics stamped with their own characteristic identity. By not treating the music as some kind of museum piece The Producers are likely to incur the displeasure of a section of the blues hierarchy, however, at the same time they are barnstorming across the country building a massive audience at sell-out club dates and developing an equally impressive reputation that no one can ignore.

Limehouse Lizzy

Saturday, 5 May 2012

Limehouse Lizzy at the Gateway on Saturday, 5 May 2012

Presenting the Greatest Hits of Thin Lizzy.

Renowned for an action-packed pyrothechnic-fuelled explosion of a show, Limehouse Lizzy continue to keep the spirit of Celtic rock icon Philip Lynott and his band Thin Lizzy alive, well and dominating stages worldwide.

Attention to detail, playful audience interaction and that all important X-factor that leaves you with the feeling of witnessing the real thing have led to their performance being described as "beyond tribute", by both audience and critics alike.

Following the enormous success of their “Live & Dangerous” & “Dedication” tours, the band embarked upon their “Into the Limelight” 2008 tour to tie in with their appearance on an episode of BBC2’s ‘Arena’ documentary series of the same name. The tour travelled as far as a headline slot at the Rhodes Rock festival in Greece, and the Virgin Atlantic Music festival in Barbados. The band appeared alongside diverse world music acts, and played a Thin Lizzy set representing the celtic rock genre.

In 2011 the band's European tour continues to explore and celebrate the artistic and musical legacy of the hard-living, hard-rocking, yet at times surprisingly tender and romantic artist that was Philip Lynott. This year they will be appearing in the UK, Ireland, Germany, France, Holland and Belgium.

Expect more of the Celtic influenced tracks like “Whisky in the Jar” and “Black Rose”, amongst the usual razzamatazz and classic tracks “The Boys are Back in Town”, “Sarah” and many others we’ve come to expect from one of the most highly rated acts on the circuit.

Rolling Stoned.

Saturday, 26 May 2012

Rolling Stoned, Saturday, 26 May 2012

After their sell out gig at the Gateway in May 2011, the Rollin Stoned are back.

With a Rolling Stoned show, the costumes are shamelessly camp gaudy and fab, the instruments genuinely vintage and the wit irreverent. However while the tongue is never far from the cheek we make sure it is never to the detriment of the music. This band is not to be confused with the grotesque parody on parody ‘Stella Street’ Lite Stones bands that abound, nor a bunch of seasoned old pros, opportunistically hitched on to the “Tribute Bandwagon” for an easy ride. What clearly comes across to audiences seeing the band at work is the passion we all have for the music of what is, cliche or not, ”The Greatest Rock‘n’Roll Band„ the world has seen.

A typical two hour show includes not only all the classic crowd pleasing hits, but is spiced with enough eclectic selections from the deeper recesses of Stones Album archives to satisfy the most demanding of “Buffs”, all performed with the same vibrantly authentic attack and raw energy that characterised the original Stones shows in their prime.

Coldplace at the Gateway.

The World's Leading Tribute to Coldplay

Formed by Coldplay fans, for Coldplay fans, Coldplace are a tribute band whose quality and experience on the tribute scene are second to none.

Formed in 2003, right from the start Coldplace had an unnerving likeness to the real thing, especially in front man Shane Crofts who's look, sound and even on stage mannerisms and charisma bears an uncanny resemblance to the great Chris Martin himself. Thanks to this incredible accuracy, the musicianship, dedication and passion for Coldplay's music, the band were quickly on the tribute circuit in the UK and over the years have had some amazing experiences.

Their aim, as a tribute to one of the world's biggest bands, is to capture the feeling of a live Coldplay performance, the music, the visuals, the energy and the atmosphere. This had lead to some amazing comments from people who have seen our show such as “Close your eyes and you'll think it was Coldplay”, “Fix You brought a tear to my eye” and “Wow – they are brilliant. Absolutely faultless performance – really powerful.”
