Information about the Gateway Main Hall, Enterprise Suite & Gallery Café.
The Gateway has three function rooms of varying sizes to cater for meetings, conferences, seminars, trade fairs, lectures or social functions.
the Gateway's Main Hall is an ideal venue for concerts, theatrical productions, conferences, weddings or parties. Able to seat up to 250, with maximum capcity room for over 400 standing, it can be turned to almost any purpose.
The venue is licensed and can be fully catered for Buffet or sit down dining.
It has excellent lighting and sound facilities and professional technical and administrative support. There is a foyer with a staffed box office. The theatre is disabled-accessible for audience members.
The Main Hall is hired out on a fixed fee basis. Hires are inclusive of front–of–house and box office staffing, the use of changing rooms with showers and toilets and the support of technical staff to assist with get-in, lighting and sound.

Dressing Rooms.
There are two dressing rooms at the rear of the stage both dressing rooms have illuminated makeup mirrors, wash basins, dress and costume rails and clothing hooks. There are also male and female toilets and a small kitchen. There is access from the dressing rooms to both ends of the stage.
Each dressing room is 4.80m x 4.20m on plan

Lighting Technical Specifications.
- Front of house bar with 12x15A outlets and 6 Strand Cantata Fresnel 1200w spots, 4 strand Prelude 650w profile spots, 2 Strand 650w Fresnel spots.
- On stage spot bar with 12x15A outlets, 10 Strand 650w Fresnel Quartet spots, 1 Strand Prelude 650w profile spot.
- On stage bar 2 with 12x15A outlets and 8 Strand Quartet 650w Fresnel spots.
- On stage cyc bar with 12x15A outlets and 6 Strand 500w Coda Floods, 1 Strand Prelude 650w profile spot, 2 Pattern 23 500w profile spots (cookies!)
- On stage, 2 analogue Strand Tempus 2g 6x10a (12 outlets) dimmer racks single phase 63a plugs.
- 2 Strand Act 6 dimmer racks 12 outlets, these are hard wired to the FOH bar only and cannot be plugged.
- On Stage to the rear are 4x15A outlets and 4x13A sockets to each side to the front.
- The dimmers can be controlled either from back stage using a 24 way analogue desk or from the Control/Projection room at the back of the hall.
- The Control room has a ZERO 88 FAT FROG desk, the DMX output is fed to a DEMUX 48 and hence back stage on analogue control cables. There is no DMX link back stage.
- When using the Control room desk, the backstage control desk must be unplugged and vice versa.
- There are also 2x Strand Solo 2k follow spots located in the Control room.
- A free standing ladder is provided for access to the lighting bars.
Sound System (Brief Outline)
- Xenyx 2442FX 16 channel mixer.
- Palladium 100 Stereo Power Amp and wall mounted speakers to left and right of Auditorium.
- CD player (phono out sockets only) with remote handset.
- Note these are located back stage and cannot be controlled from the lighting box.
- On stage to the front are 4 XLR sockets, these are hard wired to sockets next to the mixer back stage.
- 3 Nos rifle mikes available with stands.
- Deaf Loop ( be aware that this can cause problems with some musical instrument amps)
- Sound monitor system in the dressing rooms and Control room.
The Enterprise Suite and Gallery Café
Both the Enterprise Suite and Gallery Café are on the first floor which can only be accessed by two flights of stairs. (no lift available)
Both rooms are newly decorated and arranged so that they can be used for meetings, seminars, presentations and private functions.
The Enterprise Suite.
A private light and airy room 7.0m x 5.0m on plan, set out for meetings and able to seat 12 to 25 persons.
The Gallery Café.
A modern Open plan space 7.0m x 4.0m on plan, set off the administration lobby and opposite the Enterprise Suit. This space is set out with 5 tables and can seat 20 persons around the tables or in rows suitable for presentations.
Adjoining the Gallery Café is the first floor licensed bar and kitchen which can serve drinks, teas, coffees and meals or light refreshments.
The Gallery Café can be used as a stand alone venue or in conjunction with the Enterprise Suite as a space for refreshments in between meeting or presentation sessions.
There are male and female toilets on the first floor for use with both the Enterprise Suite and Gallery Café.
