Gateway Main Hall Specifications.

The technical facilities at the Gateway are constantly being improved to keep pace with the demands and expectations of our clients in a fast changing media presentation market.

The Main Hall has a newly installed cinema screen, digital projector and surround sound speakers which allow us to show high definition films and live streaming via satellite feeds.

It has excellent lighting and professional technical and administrative support.

There is a foyer with a staffed box office.

The Gateway Main Hall is on the ground floor giving disabled access for audience members with wheelchairs and mobility scooters.

The Main Hall is hired out on a fixed fee basis. Hires are inclusive of front–of–house and box office staffing, the use of changing rooms with toilets and the support of technical staff to assist with get-in, lighting and sound.

The Main Hall has a floor area of 14.5 metres x 13.5 metres, 210m² overall.

Live Music Gigs.

Informal Concert Option.

Suitable for Rock Bands and acts where the audience will want to dance or be able to move around to watch the acts on stage.

Standing capacity for 400 persons with the acts on stage and no seating.

Fully staffed licensed main bar and side bar.

Gateway stage lighting can be incorporated with the acts own lighting.

Space for acts sound & lighting desks and technicians at rear of hall.

Gateway sound & lighting manager and technicians can provide assistance and support.

Gateway can provide front of house and security.

Acts can sell their own merchandise either in the hall or foyer.

Part Seated Option.

Where ticket sales are between 150 – 250 persons and the target audience will expect to be able to sit if they want to and still be able to dance.

Rectangular tables set out each side of the mains hall with seats for 80 persons.

Fully staffed licensed main bar.

Gateway stage lighting can be incorporated with the acts own lighting.

Space for acts sound & lighting desks and technicians at rear of hall.

Gateway sound & lighting manager and technicians can provide assistance and support.

Gateway can provide front of house and security.

Fully Seated Option.

Where ticket sales are less than 100 persons

Up to 16 circular tables with dance floor area towards the stage centre.

Each table can seat up to 10 giving a maximum total of 160 persons.

Fully staffed licensed main bar.

Gateway stage lighting can be used or incorporated with the acts own lighting.

Space for acts sound & lighting desks and technicians at rear of hall.

Gateway sound & lighting manager and technicians can provide assistance and support.

Theatre seating Layout.

250 seats on the flat (not tiered). Seats are set out in labelled rows with individual seat numbers which are identified on the ticket i.e. Row B : Seat 5. Two side aisles and a centre aisle for access.

Wheelchairs can be placed at end of rows.

Front of house staff including seat ushers.

Licensed bar before start and during interval.

Teas, coffees, sweets & ice creams served during interval if required.

Restaurant seating layout.

220 seats around rectangular tables.

Each table is set out with table cloths, napkins, side plates, glasses and cutlery.

Table layouts, Table numbers and place settings if required.

Choice of menus hot & cold, buffet or served to the table.

Waiter Service if required.

Licensed bar before start and during with wines of your choice by the bottle ordered from the wine menu.

Entertainment can be arranged or you can book your own.

Further access is available through the main entrance doors front of house off Fore Street or through the two fire access doors at auditorium floor level off Marsh Street.

4 strand Prelude 650w profile spots,2 Strand 650w fresnel spots,PAR64 1000w,13A distribution,

DMX link to 4x LED Visage Multipar RGBAW(100w).

On stage spot bar with 12x15A outlets,10 Strand 650w fresnel Quartet spots,

1 Strand Prelude 650w profile spot,13A distribution,DMX link to 4x LED Visage Multipar RGBAW(100w)

On stage bar 2 with 12x15A outlets and 8 Strand Quartet 650w fresnel spots,PAR64 1000w

On stage cyc bar with 12x15A outlets and 6 Strand 500w Coda Floods,4x PAR64 1000w

1x Pattern 23 500w profile spot (cookie!) 2x Strand Quartet 650w fresnel spots.

On stage,2x 63A outlets on Red Phase, 2 analogue Strand Tempus 2g 6x10A (12 outlets) dimmer racks single phase 63A plugs.

2 Strand Act 6 dimmer racks 12 outlets,these are hard wired to the Yellow Phase & FOH bar only and cannot be plugged.

On Stage to the rear are 4x15A outlets and 4x13A sockets each side to the front.

On Stage 4x 10m long clean Fly Bars located up, centre and downstage.

The dimmers can be controlled either from backstage using a 24 way analogue desk or from the control/projection room at the rear of the hall.

The control room has a ZERO 88 FAT FROG desk,the DMX (Universe 1) is fed backstage through a DEMUX48 and hence backstage on analogue cables.

There is a further DMX Universe (2) link backstage.

When using the control room desk the backstage analogue control desk must be unplugged and vice versa.

There are also 2xStrand Solo 2k followspots located in the control room.

A free standing ladder is provided for access to the lighting bars.

Sound System (Brief Outline)

Xenyx 2442FX 16 channel mixer.

Palladium 100 Stereo Power Amp and wall mounted speakers to left and right of Auditorium.

CD player (phono out sockets only) with remote handset.

Note these are located back stage and cannot be controlled from the lighting box.

On stage to the front are 4 XLR sockets, these are hard wired to sockets next to the mixer back stage.

3 Nos rifle mikes available with stands.

Deaf Loop ( be aware that this can cause problems with some musical instrument amps)

Sound monitor system in the dressing rooms and Control room.

Cinema Screen.

Retractable screen from grid front of stage curtain.

Dressing Rooms.

There are two dressing rooms at the rear of the stage both dressing rooms have illuminated makeup mirrors, wash basins, dress and costume rails and clothing hooks. There are also male and female toilets and a small kitchen. There is access from the dressing rooms to both ends of the stage.

Each dressing room is 4.80m x 4.20m on plan
